I've never baked a cookie in my life. And having gone this long without doing so, I have no intention of starting now.
Having said that, I'm grateful others do-especially Al Sanders, when he bakes cookies here in Ambassador's "test" kitchen.
And because it's the holidays, Al's baking right now. And the aroma is nothing short of amazing. The best part is, in just a few minutes, I'll be munching on a warm, crispy-oozie cookie compliments of Al.
Christmas aromatics! There's nothing better. The smell of a fresh tree or wreath, hot chocolate in a Santa mug, steaming wassail with cinnamon sticks. Oh yea-I'm feeling the love!
It reminds me of another aroma! The one in 2nd Corinthians 2:15 where Paul says we are to God the sweet smelling aroma of Christ. What must that be like? Better than cookies, certainly. More comforting than hot chocolate or steaming wassail. The sweet smelling savor of Christ! Paul calls it "the fragrance of life!"
