Are You Ready For Some Football?

The college football season arrives this week in all its glory. Marching bands, cheerleaders, and players - eager to hit anybody wearing a different uniform.

The Commish

As a diehard football fan, I get fired up when I smell the aroma of a pre-game BBQ and upon entering the stadium, the familiar smell of freshly mown grass.

Millions of football fans fill the stadiums of college and pro teams all over the country in order to cheer on their favorite team.  There's no question that football fans are the most intense of any sport, and if you've been to one of the games of the big conferences (I went to a few Pac 10 games last season), you know it's absolutely true.

While there are many college games this weekend, the biggest games have to be #5 Alabama at #7 Virginia Tech and #13 Georgia at #9 Oklahoma St.  A loss for any team in this first week of play could put a team out of contention for the national championship before they've had a chance to start the season.

I'd love to hear who you'll be in the stand rooting for this season.

Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it's so incredible, it's unbelievable.

This year (as it is every year) the Sinclair house will be duking it out between the Broncos and the Chargers. Although, I think the Bolts will have the upper hand this season!!

Who's playing?
My goal is to come in dead last in the standings. Since coming in first isn't even a prayerful consideration, I'm going for the next most prestigious spot--last! The only thing I have in common with a Pac "anything" is luggage!

John, It is good to see that through all the blah, blah, blah about the weakest conference in football (pac 10 or as we will refer to them in the future - pink 10) that you have risen above it all to quote the great Tom Landry the former leader of the finest football team in all the land.....The DALLAS COWBOYS! We had to be sure to keep that hole in the roof in the new stadium for the Big Guy to watch His team and don't forget we even added a High Def Screen to enhance His viewing pleasure! :) By the way, I am more than happy to share any Big 12 highlights with you if you decide you would like to see how real football is supposed to be played.

Let's see, that pretty much should get the West Coast Crew ready for some football....and maybe a little trash talk!

Haven't gotten any info about the pool this year. Is anyone doing one?
