Those Who "Give Away" Recognized At NRB

  • Saturday, February 27, 2010

As was asked of the Angel of the Lord, "What is your name so we may honor you," this year's NRB award winners exemplify that level of service to God's Kingdom. Dedicated to working for His glory and not their own, Ambassador is pleased to recognize the commitment to the radio industry of several from the Ambassador family this year.

Chuck Colson, founder of Prison Fellowship, will be receiving the prestigious NRB Hall of Fame award in recognition of the impact made through the organization he launched as well as his radio commentary, BreakPoint®, which began in 1976. With ministry in over 100 countries and his voice heard on over 1200 outlets nationally, Chuck Colson's endeavors have been, and continue to be, dedicated to the Church and its influence on culture.

Charles Morris, President of Haven Ministries, is receiving the "Radio Program of the Year: Long Form," on behalf of HAVEN Today. The fourth speaker for the program, Charles joined the ministry in 2000. HAVEN Today is a 75-year-old radio ministry which consistently examines the latest news from a biblical perspective.

Mark Earley, President of Prison Fellowship, is accepting the "Radio Program of the Year: Short Form," for the 1:00 feature "The Point®," which features his daily commentary. Attracting listeners from every walk of life and age group, this program connects real life issues with practical applications for believers.

A special highlight for the Ambassador Staff, Evelyn Gibson, Ambassador's Vice President of Communications, is being awarded the 2010 NRB Media Award for Radio Impact. A newly initiated honor to recognize those who significantly impact the market far beyond standard accomplishments, this award is designed to recognize worthy "behind the scenes" people that often go unnoticed or unrewarded for their outstanding and unique efforts. With more than 20 years at the agency, Evelyn works with closely with Ambassador ministries in creating strategy for both written and on-air communication.  She has been recognized for her longtime volunteer work with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), and currently is a regional leader in Compassion's Advocate network.

Ambassador Advertising Agency, located in Irvine (CA) has been privileged to serve as a leader in Christian broadcasting since 1959.  The AAA team supports more than 20 ministry partners, each dedicated to communicating Truth and its practical application for today's culture.  With the platform of a nearly 50-year legacy, a core objective at Ambassador is to utilize its media expertise, combined with innovative technology, to maximize Kingdom impact.
