Enjoying a summer day at the beach watching the waves, I thought about life-- how the high and low points come crashing into our days - sometimes quickly and in such a big way, at other times, slowly and hardly noticeable.
As a large wave came crashing to the shore, I noticed the crew on the Life Guard Rescue boat watching the beach goers attentively and it made me wonder . . . where do unbelievers go when the crashing waves of life hit and they need to be rescued?

Just home from church . . . one of my weekly highlights because after 20 years at Church of the Open Door, Sunday mornings are like going home to me. It's when I know I'll see my church family and have a few moments to unwind and most importantly, enjoy sweet time of focus on God.

In the car with the kids, seems all three had something to say . . . from homework that needed to be done to asking what was for dinner. It's not that I didn't want to listen to what each of them, but I quickly lost my focus as the three of them kept trying to speak to me at the same time!
It got me to thinking . . . isn't daily life like that? We have so much on any given day vying for our attention-we're challenged every minute with "who and what to listen to" . . . both in the mundane ...
