April 22—Earth Day: It’s More About Treasure Than It Is About Trash

  • Wednesday, April 1, 2009

With scripture mentioning the earth 863 times, Jim Garlow (The Garlow Perspective) emphasizes that a believers' involvement with the environment is more about "treasure" than it is about "trash."

"Believers had a responsibility to the planet long before anyone even mentioned global warming," Pete Briscoe (Telling The Truth) pointed out.

Both pastors of large churches, Garlow and Briscoe encourage Christians to use opportunities, such as Earth Day in April, to connect with non-believers on a common cause-taking care of our world. And it's these opportunities for joint involvement that will allow believers to explain why they care about the earth in the first place...pointing to the Creator of it all.

A dynamic radio package for Earth Day, Jim Garlow has a 25:00 special ("Reclaiming Earth Day") that's offered in combination with several 1:00 features on the same topic; Pete Briscoe teaches on "Should Christians Care About Being Green" for "Telling the Truth" (available to all stations) with corollary 1:00 features also available as stand-alone content.  For more information, contact Ambassador.
