Three Wise Men*December 25 is the birthday of Jesus?
  December 25 was the birthday of the pagan God of light.  In 325AD, Roman emperor Constantine re-assigned the meaning to the birthday of Jesus, the true God of Light.

*There were three wise men who arrived to see Jesus?
  there were three gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.  There may have been ten wise men—each of them bringing some gold, frankincense and myrrh.

A Bully Pulpit Pastor for "Clergy Appreciation Month!"

jim-garlowI'm reading and enjoying immensely Doris Kearns Goodwin's book, "The Bully Pulpit:  Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism."  "Bully Pulpit" is a term coined by Theodore Roosevelt referring to the White House as a powerful platform to advocate an agenda.

And in this month of "Clergy Appreciation", I can't think of any pastor for whom the term "A Bully Pulpit pastor" fits better, and for whom we have any greater appreciation for, than Pastor Jim Garlow.  He's also heard daily on "The Garlow Perspective."

Jim's agenda is most assuredly biblio-centric ...
