There is a wonderful blog post on the Joni and Friends® webpage, detailing the story of Gracie Rosenberg and how the tragedy of losing her legs in a car accident turned into "Standing with Hope", a ministry aimed at providing prosthetic legs to amputees in developing countries.
What an amazing picture this paints in my mind. Imagine, after years of distress and hardship close to the cold, hard earth, to suddenly be able to stand tall and walk again.

Three Good Reasons to Dye Your Hair Blue

It's not every day I consider dying my hair blue - even though the person holding the can of "Be Wild" blue hair spray guaranteed it would come out in one wash.
On this particular day, my fellow co-worker Katie Burke had just shared with our team her experience serving as a "Short Term Missionary" (STM) at a Joni and Friends® Family Retreat. Part of the retreat experience, she said, was participating in "Crazy Hair Day." Katie brought photos and a half-empty can of blue hair spray to prove it!
