I had the best weekend.
On Sunday morning, my 7 year old daughter (who had placed her faith in Christ when she was 5) stood in front of our church family and shared that she wanted to be baptized because she loves Jesus and wants to show others that she is on "Jesus' team."
As a mother of three children, I firmly believe that the most important and powerful education we can give to our children, is the knowledge of God. And, the best way to teach our children about God, is from His Word.
As Anne Graham Lotz shares, "What better way to begin your day than in the Word of God!" And that's what Anne's daily 1:00 program "Daily Light For Daily Living" is all about--each feature is wrapped around Scripture with a life application that's unmistakable.
And there's no better way to kick off the holiday season than celebrating National Bible Week on November 22-29th! It's most fitting that this traditional observance is to be held during the week of Thanksgiving . . . as each of us pauses to reflect on the meaning of the Bible in our lives, we surely have some special instance for which to express our thanks to God for strengthening our faith through His Word.
With additional Bible readings and personal encouragement to read His Word, the "Daily Light For Daily Living" programs for Thanksgiving week are a great way to commemorate National Bible Week, to remind us of all we have to give thanks for and to further equip us as we serve on "Jesus' team!"
(P.S. If you don't currently air "Daily Light For Daily Living" and would like to share the special programming designed for National Bible Week, just let me know!)
