What Will Be Your Legacy?

Earlier this year, I came across this listener's story from FamilyLife...

Nearly 10 years ago, I heard a series of programs on "FamilyLife Today" about marital affairs--before and after.  At that time, my neighbors were going through a difficult time in their own marriage.  In fact, the husband had already moved out and they had filed for a divorce.  I ordered this tape series and put them in a bag with a letter to my neighbors explaining how much I cared for their family.  The husband listened to the tapes then called his wife and had her listen too.  They stopped the divorce proceedings.

I had moved away shortly after that, but three years ago I ran into the family and learned that not only are they still together, but they had another child!  All thanks to the materials from FamilyLife.

Just imagine if this woman hadn't cared enough to reach out to her neighbors!  The outcome could have been sadly different.

Reflecting on that story, I realized this listener just didn't help save a marriage, she was instrumental in helping a couple build a godly legacy for their family.

And those are the listeners, and supporters, FamilyLife is seeking during next month's FamilyLife Today LIVE broadcasts, January 27-29.  Men and women like yourself willing to partner with the ministry in impacting marriages and families -- through radio, resources, conferences, internet, video -- all with the purpose of making every home a godly one.

In the weeks to come, I'll provide more details about these special programs with Dennis Rainey and Bob Lepine, including the six LIVE feeds available to stations via Amb-OS.  For more immediate information, feel free to contact me directly.

Sooo ... what will be your legacy?
