Salem Visitors

Thrilled to have visitors from Salem at our office in Irvine. It was our pleasure to welcome Ed Atsinger, Ron Walters, David Evans and Travis Messer on Wednesday as they had a tour of our facility and met Ambassador staff!

Challenging the Norm in Charitable Giving!

Sharing in common has gotten a bad rep-as the image of a 60's type hippie commune makes its way into our consciousness!  It can be off putting to a generation who remember the peace sign, the "luv" and the drugs!

But sharing is a concept worth considering as a fund raising paradigm.

As fund raisers we emphasize "giving."  And well we should.  It's a biblical emphasis-a promised blessing when we give.

But there's certainly as much emphasis on "sharing."  Paul described the early church in Acts 2:44 as "believers together who had everything in common. . .together ...

I would have to say St. Andrews in Scotland.  Also right down the road from St. Andrews there's a more modern course, but one of the most incredible in the world-it's called Kingsbarns.  It was built in the place where the king used to keep his horses.

And when it comes to the United States, it's awfully hard to beat Pebble Beach.  Coming close behind that would be a wonderful set of courses in Oregon called Bandon Dunes.

Our New Look

Yesterday, we buried an old friend.

We came to call him "Michelin Man", though that certainly didn't sit well withthe original designer.  Our beloved logo '(which received its name because of its similarities to the tire brand logo) served us well for nearly 20 years. It fittingly represented both the "A" in Ambassador as well as radiating waves from a broadcast tower. We should offer credit hours for Al Sanders' study in our weekly staff devotions in the Book of Jude!  It's that good and more to come.  Today's discourse from Jude verse 6 focusing on angels who abandoned their authority and became Satan and his fallen angels, left us all eager to hear more.

Shaw's quote is #1 in my personal list of communication "myths"; that somehow because I said it, wrote it, and/or sent it-I've actually communicated successfully. 

Of everything you receive in a day-how much of it do you do anything about?  How much of it is "spamed!"

#2:  because it was sent, it's been read

When will you get around to reading what's in today's "in-box?"  How much of it will you delete without reading it at all ...
