All thoughts chocolate this month ... thanks to Mr. Dahl's children's classic and Mr. Hershey - both born 9/13.  So ... what's your favorite candy bar?

Tom Mathis Revive Our Hearts™Easy answer.  Heath Bar.  I'm a toffee fanatic!  I also like to crunch 'em up in ice cream.  And, toffee is my favorite Starbucks latte flavor.  Mmmmm.  Speaking of Hershey, does Hershey, Pennsylvania still have their theme park?  My dad and I rode the rollercoaster there about 2-score years ago, and I still remember it being a really great ride!

Maureen Ber Moody RadioAs I try to pick just one my taste buds are reminiscing about the many Snickers, Twix and Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Almonds that they have enjoyed and I cannot decide. I must go try them again to narrow it down.

John Owens WMHKI love those Mars Bars.  York Peppermint Patties may make you jump up on tables, but Mars Bars are the bomb!

Rita Medall KTLWMy favorite is Dove "Silky Smooth Dark Chocolate" ... the taste is simply decadent.  BUT it's not decadent at all-it's really good for you as it's full of flavonoids and antioxidants.  Dark chocolate's benefits include:  improved circulation, stimulates the brain, lowers blood pressure, reduces LDL cholesterol, contains serotonin (fights depression), stimulates endorphins (gives a felling of being in-love), heart healthy, & helps fight cancer.  So eating it in moderation...what could be better?

I'm a chocoholic. My favorite candy bar is Snickers, although I will settle for any kind of candy bar that has chocolate in it.

AHA ... and more on Mr. Dahl who celebrates BD today (9/13).

He was born in Llandaff, South Wales (1916). One of the few things he enjoyed about his childhood was that the Cadbury chocolate company had chosen his school as a focus group for new candies they were developing. Every so often, a plain gray cardboard box was issued to each child, filled with 11 chocolate bars. It was the children's task to rate the candy, and Dahl took his job very seriously. About one of the sample candy bars, he wrote, "Too subtle for the common palate." He later said that the experience got him imagining what a candy factory might be like, and from it wrote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (1964).
