Hallmark! They missed a big opportunity.

"Day After" greeting cards!

We celebrate the "day before"--a lot of "eves" come to mind!
Greeting CardsBut the "day after?"  Not so much.

The day after a birthday.
The day after an anniversary.
The day after the birth of a child.
The day after you get the promotion.
The day after you've had surgery.
The day after vacation.

See what I mean?

Yesterday I had the best "day of" ever--celebrating 25 years at Ambassador.  It's a milestone, no question.  And a bit of a shock knowing I have colleagues who weren't born on my first "day of!"

Today I began the day reading in 2nd Corinthians 9--about the "cheerful giver."  I read he or she who "sows bountifully" will reap "bountifully."  It continues, "so give as you purpose in your heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver."

It occurs to me this verse has little to do with money, or goods.  But it has everything to do with energy, commitment, sticking to the task, sowing bountifully with all that God has provided in task and talent.

It's the day after--"enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving to God!"
