Hosting family or friends for a meal and being able to use my Christmas dinnerware! ~Michelle Blood

Ever since I had the opportunity to help deliver shoe boxes to kids in Romania a few years ago, filling up Operation Christmas Child boxes is that much more special. ~Katie Burke

I love the lyrics of Christmas-nothing like James Taylor sweetly singing "Who sends this song upon the air, to ease the soul that's aching? To still the cry of deep despair and heal the heart that's breaking." Or, BeBe & CeCe Winans simply exulting "Born is the King-MY King"! ~Peggy Campbell

A huge Christmas morning breakfast with the fam! ~JC Colon

Christmas music, Christmas movies, and maybe some Christmas surfing? ~Mark Conner

I love watching old Christmas movies during the holiday season. ~Sheri Cooper

I'll be off to see "A Christmas Carol"-a 31-year tradition! ~Evelyn Gibson

Negotiating with Santa and his lawyers to be moved from the "naughty" list to the "nice" list. ~Micah Haughey

Spending time with my children and my AWANA Sparks children sharing about the real reason for the season. I use FamilyLife's "What God Wants for Christmas" where we open each of the 7 little boxes with nativity scene characters until we open the last one-a mirror to reflect what God wants for Christmas is "us!" ~Lee Ann Jackson

Teaching my children to sing Handel's Messiah and introducing them to that wonderful elixir of the season...eggnog. ~Robert Jacobsen

I love filling and exchanging stockings. ~Carolyn Kim
I used to love going with my father to give gifts and present the gospel to a leper colony in China. ~KiYong Kim

Why is the 26th important to the Lee family? We wait until the day after Christmas to purchase and exchange gifts - you get better deals! ~Jery Lee

My family is what makes my Christmas special each year. ~Jennifer Perez

The Christmas decorations, not the decorating, but the decorations. ~Kathy Randall

I love Christmas caroling with my family and friends.
~Bill Reitler

Reading of the Christmas story from Luke . . . accompanied by Al's tacos! ~Jim Sanders

Getting our Christmas tree (and naming him). ~Anna Sinclair

Because my middle name is Joy and I passed that middle name on to my daughter, Lisa, I look for a JOY ornament (or decoration) for each of us every year. This year I will be buying THREE Joy ornaments with the arrival of our new granddaughter, Ashley Joy!
~Jani Williamson

Traditional food on Christmas Eve makes Christmas special. In New Mexico it means tamales and posole both topped with cheese and red chili sauce. Sharing this with family and loved ones can't be beat.
Steve, send some of those tamales and sauce to Colorado! That's one thing I miss about living in southern Arizona--the awesome Mexican food!
Christmas is special to me because we sleep in on that day. That's because we have always enforced a rule that no presents are opened before sunrise. We also have traditions. We drive around town and look at the neighbors' Christmas lights a few days before Christmas. And on Christmas eve, it's Christmas movie night. Traditionally, we watch "A Charilie Brown Christmas" and "It's A Wonderful Life." This year, we're adding the new Veggie-Tales production "It's a Meaningful Life." We love doing that every year!
I love reading "Christmas" passages from Paul's writings such as 1 Tim 3:16 "...Great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifested in the flesh" or Titus 3:4-5 "But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the wahsing of regeneration by the Holy Spirit."
My parents started this tradition and
I continue it with my children and grandson. We watch a wonderful
cartoon movie "The Littlest Angel"
every Christmas Eve.
