December Babies

Birthday Gift Life Issues®I've always felt bad for the December babies, myself included.  Why?  Because our birthday presents and Christmas presents are often combined into one.  I feel especially awful for the people who share the exact birthday with Jesus for this reason!  This, of course, is a trivial thing to be sad about.  In fact, I am more joyful for the birth of Christ than anything else.  His life is the reason we are all here today.

It's my opinion that birthdays are a special time not only for the one celebrating the birthday, but also their friends and family.  Every birthday, my sister and I have celebrated by writing a "thank-you note" to mom and dad.  We do this because we recognize that if it wasn't for our parents, we wouldn't have existed.  Furthermore, my parents were the ones who experienced the joy (and I'm sure many trials) of raising us up!

As I think about the upcoming Sanctity of Life Sunday (January 24, 2011), I know that not everyone feels the same way.  Melissa Ohden's parents, for example, had chosen to end her life through an abortion.  Incredibly, Melissa survived the saline abortion.  It truly was a miracle.  Even Melissa admitted that, "it would have been much easier if they would have just let me die."

While I know you have a lot on your plate this December as we prepare to celebrate Christ's birthday, don't forget to sign up for the Sanctity of Life Special, "Snatched From Death: Melissa's Story."  This 26:00 special shares a unique story about Melissa and her decision to forgive her parents, despite their attempt to end her life.  I'm sure that this story will bring both hope and healing to your listeners.

If you are interested, please contact me at kiyong@ambaa.com.  It is available via both Amb-OS and FTP.

Finally, one of today's most networked pro-life leaders, Brad Mattes is in a position to speak immediately on concerns relative to the sanctity of life.  If you are interested in an interview with your station, at any time, please contact me at KiYong@ambaa.com ... I'd be delighted to facilitate that!

P.S. Did you know that for every one adoption reference provided by Planned Parenthood, more than 106 children are aborted?  I'll be happy to provide you with more abortion stats, as well as a few twitter and facebook feed ideas when you sign up for the special.
