3/2010

For this month--here's what we posted to our News & Insights section!

Change . . .

As of the end of this month, Ambassador concludes representation of Precept programming after almost 15 years of service.  I have personally enjoyed the privilege of serving Kay Arthur's ministry all these years and pray that the Lord continues to provide and bless their outreach in the days ahead.

It's more critical now then ever before, that God's people are well established in God's Word and Precept remains steadfast in teaching the Word through various outreaches.

Soon, you'll be hearing from Kathleen Hardaway, Precept's Director of Station Relations, with ministry updates and April programming ...

Living Passionately

Basketball and SkyAs an international student, I quickly learned that March was an unusually intense and focused time of the year for many men (and some women).  "March Madness" took over the entire campus.  It was virtually impossible to get across the cafeteria, dorm or even the library without hearing the latest scores, the brackets and teams.  Some people literally lived and breathed college basketball.

Imagine if our lives were daily lived with that kind of fervor and passion for Christ!

What a difference would that make!  We wouldn't walk around aimlessly, but have a very clear and defined focus for ...

How does mercy fit into your schedule?

Mercy Ships® Team at NRB2010Sometimes, talking to my father on the phone can feel like an interview with a missionary agency!  He has an unnerving ability to ask insightful and penetrating questions such as:

  • "How is God the central focus of your life?"
  • "How is your life bettering society for the sake of Christ?"

The Empty Tomb

Empty TombWhat does Resurrection Sunday mean to you?

For millions around the world, it's a time to gather and commemorate the first Easter and the moment of triumph when Christ rose from the dead.  But do we really understand the meaning of this historical day?  Are we equipped to share it with others?

Jim Garlow Expand Leadership To Further Engage Culture

Jim Garlow Speaking at NRBWhat an inspiring time NRB was. Upper most in my mind was Jim Garlow's address on Saturday night at the opening session. The essence of that message: Jim emphasized that Daniel learned the "language and literature" of the Babylonians...and we should that as well if we truly desire bring truth to our culture. We need to speak the language.

That's exactly what Jim Garlow is doing...in the pulpit at Skyline, in the over 700 media interviews he's participated in, and of course...daily on "The Garlow Perspective."

And now Jim is also part of another ...

"It's My Way of Giving Back"

It was a delight to visit with speaker and author Elizabeth George at the NRB Convention in Nashville and hear her say to station partners that providing her daily radio feature and seasonal specials is her way of "giving back," sharing out of the blessings she's received through successful sales of her books.

In fact, her best-seller, "A Woman After God's Own Heart" just reached the milestone of ONE MILLION copies sold!  This book has served as a biblical guide for women desiring to follow God and seek His heart in every area of life.

We have another ...
