Well … what is it they say about the circles of life?

I can tell you that this is one that's deeply meaningful to Ambassador, and to me personally.  It was about 30 years ago (yes, I am that old!) when we first discussed the possible affiliation with a then very fledging organization called "Focus on the Family."  I doubt anyone fully comprehended at the time what God was about to do through the obedience to His calling that would be the ordination of Dr. James Dobson.

For nearly 15 years we served alongside of Focus as the ministry flourished -- hmmm, that's probably nowhere sufficient a representation of what Focus did.  Simply said, it changed the course of Christian radio as listeners across the country and around the world heard the passionate voice of someone thoroughly trained to respond to today's family concerns--not just professionally but also, far more importantly, spiritually. 

I'd be less than honest if I didn't acknowledge that the historic moment ahead of us (Monday, May 3) -- the launching of a brand new broadcast with that same trusted voice -- is a very impacting one.  Life has changed dramatically for Ambassador, for me personally, since March 1980 when we were privileged to facilitate the new 15-minute "Focus on the Family" daily program.  I wish Jon was here to share in the joy of Monday's birth.  It is just the loveliest gift to be able to serve Dr. & Mrs. Dobson, and the wonderful "Family Talk" team, again.  We are so excited about what's ahead, even while we give thanks for what God's done over the past as well.

It's also a good time to say thank you to the 300+ stations that immediately said "We're with you, Dr. Dobson!" ... your partnership as the new program begins Monday is also deeply meaningful to all of us involved in the endeavor.

Onward, then.  And may His grace fully equip us to continue to transform families, and the individuals who inhabit them, for His glory!

 I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart ... Great are the works of the LORD ... He has made His wonders to be remembered.  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;  A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever (from Psalm 111).
