The Impact of a Worldview

It could be my generation, but my friends often question how much of a difference any particular worldview makes. Especially as relativism is embraced, the assumption that worldview doesn't change anything is becoming more and more prevalent. Candidly, there's nothing further from the truth.

Worldview impacts everything!

Chuck ColsonEveryday Chuck Colson and Mark Earley remind us about the value of a correct of a worldview. From social justice to politics, from loving a neighbor to business--the Christian faith changes how we engage with the world.

I'm a bit of a worldview junkie, loving apologetics. That's why I wanted to make sure you had many of the latest resources and updates from Chuck and Mark!

Business Ethics

Joining the 2010 Business Ethics Conference in Philadelphia, Chuck Colson will be reminding business leaders to renew the Church and revitalize the culture. He puts it quite simply:

"What we must do now is be salt and light, rubbed into the culture...in such a way that the people and institutions around us slowly begin to understand that they have embraced the Lie. Our job is to expose the Lie and replace it with the Truth of a biblical understanding of all of reality."

Mark EarleyThe Persecuted Church

Around the world Christians are facing intense persecution for their faith. It's these believers who hold to their biblical worldview and live it out in the face of dire danger. Mark Earley recently explained how we need to stand with Christians around the world, as he highlighted the injustices happening for Iraqi Christians.  Here's part of what he shared (but I'd encourage you to listen to the entire commentary.)

In February, spending on the war in Afghanistan surpassed spending on the war in Iraq for the first time since the 2003 invasion-a sign that our time in Iraq is drawing to an end.

The truth is that the American people have already put the war and that troubled country behind them. Unfortunately, there is one group for whom the troubles in Iraq show no signs of abating-and that's Iraqi Christians.

Students Summit Ministries

Young people are dropping out of the Christian faith at an alarming number--and that's exactly why it's more important than ever to equip them with a solid worldview. That's exactly what happened to a student named Chris when he attended a worldview training by Summit Ministries. Chuck Colson shared about Chris' experience and could help but say, "What a wonderful testimony to the power of worldview training. It's the kind of training all young people need to undergo, but so often don't."

Here's the entire day's commentary with more information for young people in your area who would benefit from this same worldview training.

The list of resources and activity is endless from the team at "BreakPoint®" and "The Point®." You'll be able to find more at BreakPoint®.org and The Colson Center (hyperlinked). Chuck and Mark want to provide you with the tools you need to training your community in a solid worldview that will impact others. After all, it's not if your worldview is impacting others...but really about what kind of impact your worldview is having.
