I really enjoy music. Keep in mind, I have no musical talent. At one time I was quite the singer, but then my voice changed, and let's just say - now, not so much.
I resonate with the words of Lady Catherine (from my wife's favorite movie - Pride and Prejudice) "There are few people in England, I suppose, who have more true enjoyment of music than myself, or a better natural taste. If I had ever learnt, I should have been a great proficient." OK maybe I wouldn't be a great proficient, but I really like it.
The Scripture is full of music ... but just words, not notes or cords. I suppose we all have ideas in our mind of what the psalms sounded like when they were first played. We imagine how worship in heaven will someday lift our souls. Sometimes, very rarely, do I hear music that ministers to me in that manner. When I do, I want to play it for those I know and love.
All this week, Charles Morris has had Gerard Le Feuvre on HAVEN Today. Born into privilege and destined to become a Lord of the Isle of Jersey, he did not know the Lord of Lords. Now, as a follower of King Jesus he ministers with "The Kings Chamber Orchestra." I hope enjoyed listening to Monday's broadcast (if you missed it you can listen to it online here). You can also get a free download of "Here is Love."
I pray Charles' teaching and Gerard's music on HAVEN Today, will lift your soul the way it has mine.
