Do you feel unloved?

Baby lovedHave you ever felt unwanted, even unloved?  I have.  It's a painful and powerful emotion that is difficult to overcome.

Growing up, some cruel children said that I was adopted.  Although the accusers had no factual knowledge and were merely 'teasing me', I found myself very hurt by their words.  I wanted so badly to belong.  The very idea that no one wanted me wounded my heart.

Perhaps this is why I love that God calls me His child.  We all are children of God.  None of us, therefore, are unwanted or unloved.  God knows each of us by name and is intensely interested in each of our lives.

Recently, I had dinner with a man for whom I have great respect.  Over a decade ago, he and his wife decided to adopt even though they already had two strong and active young boys of their own. They took in two young babies, a boy and a girl.  If I'm not mistaken, both children were saline abortion survivors!  Although they were smaller and weaker than other children, this couple took them in and loved them dearly.

For them, being adopted wasn't a bad thing.  In fact, adoption gave them a chance to live.  It is an expression of love and care, despite the unfortunate circumstance that they were originally in.  The parents exampled what God does for us in taking the unwanted and unloved.

This is exactly what "Life Issues®" by Brad Mattes is all about! Life is a gift from God.  No matter the circumstance, God can turn it around - He's just looking for people who are willing to listen to Him.

Thank you for sharing this life giving message with your listeners.  I know that I've been encouraged and blessed by Brad's messages in a deeper way than I could have ever imagined before!
