The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining with the small bite of cool in the air- it must be Spring!
And, what a perfect way to officially announce Spring's arrival than with the joyous call of song - Joni style!
Wednesday, we had the privilege of joining Joni and the Closer Walk Bible study group (co-taught by our own Al Sanders) at the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton for a special connecting of fellowship.
The time together included singing (of course!), tender moments of Joni and Ken sharing about Joni's cancer journey and exciting updates on the activities of Joni and Friends® - most notably the start of Family Retreats next week and Wheels for the World heading to China.
We even enjoyed a surprise phone call and the opportunity to sing "Just as I Am" with George Beverly Shea--voice still strong at age 102!
What a refreshing time; to feel your soul (and vocal cords) awakened with thanksgiving and praise through energy that only Joni can create!
And, with the refreshment of Spring also comes the start of a great season for Joni and Friends®!
