How American Business Is Doing

GolfI love to golf.  That means on occasion, I'm playing with someone I've never met before.  And the conversation always eventually gets to "So tell me what you do?" and the "So how's business?" conversation.

I've given, and received, a large number of responses.  I've concluded that business is bad-across the board.  Here's evidence of that fact in just a few of the impacted industries.

1)      The plumbing business is in the toilet

2)      The airline business has crashed

3)      The card table business has folded

4)      The aquarium business has tanked

5)      The gravel business is crushed while the cement business has hardened

6)      The pool business has drained

7)      The hair-coloring business is dyeing

8)      The submarine business is going under

9)      The masseuse business is belly-up

10)  The landscape business has been cut

11)  The construction business has collapsed

12)  The shock absorber business is bottoming out

13)  The janitorial business has kicked the bucket

14)  The vegetable business is frozen

15)  The raspberry business is jammed

16)  The public bathroom business is stalled

17)  The roofing business is flat

18)  The book printing business is in chapter 13

19)  The woodworking business is finished

20)  The crease business has been depleted

I'm sure you can think of a few more . . . I'd love for you to add them to the blog!

The fireworks business has exploded!

The book printing business can't be in chapter 13 unless maybe it's a sole proprietorship. It could be in chapter 7 or 11!

The meat packers have packed up and left town.

I think the economy is putting the squeeze on the accordion business.

The dental business is capped
