It can be a lonely place when you stand for your convictions and go against the flow, choosing to live life God's way.
As Nancy Leigh DeMoss shared on a recent "Revive Our Hearts™" program, "if you're going to live a righteous life, if you're going to walk with God, it's going to be, in some senses, lonely. It's the majority who walk the way of the world, the way of their own flesh, the way of their own sin, who end up under the wrath and the condemnation and the judgment of God. It is possible to live a righteous life in the midst of a corrupt and violent world."
As a mom trying to raise a young daughter to have a heart for purity and reflect this in her clothing, it can feel lonely when she notices that she's the only one of her friends who wears a one-piece bathing suit. And, I know that this issue is just one of many that we'll encounter as she grows up. My prayer for her is that when she's a teen and old enough to make her own choices, she'll choose to live according to God's standards, even when she may be the only one.
This month on the broadcast, Nancy provides hope and practical guidance for women who are striving each day to live a life of purity, whether it's in being faithful to their marriage covenant or in teaching discernment to their children. She teaches that it is possible to live a righteous life by God's grace.
