As I considered these subjects coming up on "Grace to You®" in July, a close friend immediately came to mind. She recently received some devastating news that has turned her world upside down. And unfortunately, because of that news, she's now questioning God's Word and promises.
So how does my friend, or any believer, find joy in the midst of a trial? And how does one overcome doubts about God? Thankfully, John MacArthur provides answers to these questions this month. First, in his study from Philippians he outlines the road to profound, abiding contentment, in spite of our circumstances (Joy Rules airs July 11-22). Then immediately following, John begins a brand new study, When Believers Doubt, and explains that even believers in Jesus' day ... people close to Him ... faced times of doubt. I, for one, am eager to hear him teach on finding joy and how the Lord helped His followers put away doubt. My prayer is that these two timely studies will equip me to minister to my friend during the challenging days ahead.
