Don't Miss This One!

My brother and I became Christians about the same time, but our spiritual growth developed quite differently.  While my journey has been more of a relational one, his was more intellectual.  I was involved in group Bible studies, community outreach, and enjoyed my daily devotions.  He actually became a "student of the Bible," in fact under John MacArthur's teaching, eager to understand the historical significance as well as biblical prophecy.  For years, my brother has urged me to do an in-depth study of the prophecies outlined in Scripture so that I could have a deeper understanding of Israel's future ... and be prepared for mine.

As I was reviewing the upcoming broadcasts on "Grace to You^®," I was excited to see that The Future of Israel airs August 1-19.  It's exactly what my brother would recommend--a two-week study from the book of Daniel.  I decided to take an early listen and was struck by these words from John MacArthur:

"In the very process of Daniel being involved in prayer, Gabriel arrives ... and he came with an answer.  He said at the end of verse 23, 'therefore understand the matter and consider the revelation.'  In other words, Gabriel says to Daniel, 'Daniel, don't miss this one.'" 

Just like the angel Gabriel urged Daniel to "understand" and "consider" the prophecies told, that's John's encouragement to me, and to you, here:  

"Israel is going to continue to become more central to human history not less. Our study on the future of Israel will give you the understanding of Scripture to enable you to interpret the times we live in, to see the signs of the times ..." 

So on behalf of the ministry of Grace to You^®, be sure you don't miss this one!  I know I won't!
