I just finished a wonderful book over the weekend and I'm ready to dive into another great read before summer ends. This is why I'm excited about a brand new resource available from BreakPoint® (keep reading below) along with a special opportunity that the ministry is making available to you and your listeners.
Chuck Colson has shared that there is no better way to recharge our batteries than reading. If you're also in the search for some great books and would like the benefit of reading reviews first, along with recommendations for young readers, then you'll appreciate this new teaching tool from BreakPoint®.
Want to know if the popular "Hunger Games" series is appropriate reading for your teen? Then check out Youth Reads, a new landing page specifically designed for parents and educators who want to find good books for this age group.
I'd love to know what you've been reading this summer! Feel free to comment below with your recommendations.
Doing The Right Thing Simulcast - An Exploration of Ethics
On September 24th, Chuck Colson, along with Dr. Del Tackett, Eric Metaxas, Dr. Robert George, John Stonestreet, and Michael Miller will be hosting a live four-hour simulcast event of "Doing the Right Thing."
Together, they will examine our present crisis of ethics and point towards a solution proposed by the Christian worldview. Get involved by hosting this nationwide event in your church, school, or home! To find out more information, visit the site at: www.doingtherightthingevent.com
Prison Fellowship in the News
In a recent issue of USA TODAY, conservative columnist Cal Thomas and liberal democratic strategist Bob Beckel found common ground on Prison Fellowship's role in addressing the monumental problems in our nation's prison system.
The article, which appears every other week in a piece called "Common Ground," is a dialogue between two columnists with different views. After assessing many of the prison system's problematic issues and citing the financial impact on the failed system, the two ideologues shared their ringing endorsement on the work of Prison Fellowship as a model for prison reform.
The full article can be read here.
On behalf of Prison Fellowship and BreakPoint®, thank you for your partnership in equipping listeners with these resources in order to help them form a biblical worldview.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer! Now, go read a good book!
