When do people tune in to the radio? We could offer several suggestions as to the time of day (morning drive) or likely activity (picking the kids up from school), but what about the emotional state of the listener?
HCJB Global's Ron Cline speaks to this on today's "Beyond the Call" program.
Ron shares a story about a young man in Indonesia who planned to kill himself after suffering financial ruin. The desperate man decided to turn on the radio, but the only radio station he could find on his mobile phone was that of an HCJB Global partner -- a Christian radio station! He heard a message loud and clear: "In every problem there is a way out." The young man lost his desire to commit suicide, connected with the radio station and eventually gave his life to Christ.
There are many today who are tuning in to local Christian radio stations and programs like "Beyond the Call" who are in a desperate place. When do people tune in to the radio? Many times, it's at just the right time.

P.S. As the world's attention is drawn to Libya, HCJB Global president Wayne Pederson has recorded a timely reflection of his own experience with Libyan Christians . . . and the importance of our prayerful support to those very few believers who remain in this war-torn country.
