Just ask any parent, especially this time of year when many are readying their kids for school. The same can be said about the ministry of FamilyLife! With the fall season just around the corner, they have heightened their efforts to reach marriages and families for Christ through a number of outreaches. Just take a look at what's ahead for Dennis Rainey and the rest of their staff.
Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood ... the recently released book by Dennis Rainey is the focus of the "FamilyLife Today" broadcasts this month (9/12-14). It's also the subject of a 3-day interview with the Kendrick brothers, writer/producer of the movie Courageous (9/28-30).
Weekend to Remember® ... another season of marriage getaways begins in September with the first event in Tampa (9/9-11). By the way, Dennis Rainey joins Dr. Dobson on "Family Talk" in an interview with one couple whose marriage was saved by attending a Weekend to Remember®.
Hope for Orphans Institute ... FamilyLife's orphan ministry is launching a series of events designed to equip lay and church leaders, pastors, and professionals on some of the most important issues facing orphans and orphan ministries today. The first one will be held at the Hope Center in Plano, Texas (9/16-17) with a focus on better serving "at-risk children" -- the fastest growing segment of children being adopted by Christian families.
FamilyLife Today "On the Go" ... realizing the "busyness" that is challenging families today, the ministry has now designed practical, biblical help in bite-sized audio chunks. New episodes are posted every Monday and Tuesday at their website.
