On September 3, 2001, "Revive Our Hearts™" went on the air for the first time with Nancy Leigh DeMoss serving as the successor to Elisabeth Elliot's Gateway to Joy.
Nancy shares, for me, it was the beginning of a new season of life and ministry, one filled with opportunities for faith and fruitfulness. To say I felt ill-equipped and inadequate for the task of doing daily radio would be an understatement!
As we approach our tenth anniversary, my heart is full of gratitude to the Lord for His incredible grace . . . lives and homes are being sanctified, God is being glorified, and His Kingdom is being furthered in this world. What an unspeakable privilege! What a calling! And, what a joy to be yoked together with you in fulfilling that calling.
Today, the daily broadcast airs 912 times a day on 739 outlets. We're grateful for so many station partners who continue to share Nancy's impacting messages and participate in various ways in support of this ministry.
Next week (September 5-9), listeners will hear special programming that emphasizes different elements and messages from ten years of ministry. The program for 9/9 will focus on suffering with reference to the fateful events of 9/11 which occurred just one week after the program's launch.
