Walking into a department store with my youngest daughter, we witnessed three teenage boys being interrogated by policemen. Rebecca asked what was happening and I told her it looked like the boys had been doing something they shouldn't have been - maybe shoplifting. She innocently asked, "is it bad to steal if it's something you really need?"
I had a long shopping list but I knew I had to live in the moment and walk my daughter through a teachable scenario - in 8 year old terms, I explained to her that the ends do not always justify the means.
In the "Family Talk" broadcasts this coming week, Dr. Dobson along with Dennis Rainey sit down with a couple who were on the edge of the unthinkable. Listeners will be moved when they hear from a wife who had been planning a murder-suicide when God stepped in and saved her. And how, the transforming power of Christ penetrated their lives and marriage, and gave birth to a ministry for hurting teens . . . and lots of days of "living in the moment."
(Visit our web site for an overview of upcoming "Family Talk" broadcasts.)
And new from "Family Talk" . . . weekly videos featuring Dr. James Dobson's sage advice on high-impact subjects that affect your family, marriage, parenting, and faith. Visit the ministry web site for this week's video!
With Christ's direction, we can not only live in the moment, we can make the moments count for eternity . . . for marriages and families!
