God's Story, Your Story

Max Lucado on "God's Story, Your Story"". . . it was supposed to go my way!"

I got rejected. Not once. Not twice, but seven times! My future was starting to look bleak. One by one, the doors closed and I didn't get a single college acceptance letter that semester. "This is unbelievable," I thought! I was a part of school and church leadership, received a "leader of tomorrow" award, had above-average grades and was otherwise a 'well-rounded' student. Rejected when my friends got into Harvard, Yale and Princeton, I was a mess. How could this be? This was my story . . . it was supposed to my way!

"God takes on the whole mess of us and cleans us up." - Max Lucado

God, it turns out, had other plans for my life! He closed doors to open another one. He killed my pride and taught me humility. "Above and around us God directs a grander saga, written by his hand, orchestrated by his will, unveiled according to his calendar. And you are a part of it" says Pastor Max.

Do you believe that "your life emerges from the greatest mind and kindest heart in the history of the universe: the mind and heart of God"? I do. I failed to mention that when I filled out my application, I inadvertently let the schools know that I wanted to defer a year. Who knew that God would use this to completely re-direct my life? Because of His 're-direction,' I ended up at Biola, fell in love with a beautiful young lady (who is now my wife), and am studying Christian Apologetics while serving as a youth pastor for a wonderful small Korean church (in addition, of course, to the work I'm privileged to serve at Ambassador!). My life couldn't be better!

"God's Story, Your Story"

"God's Story, Your Story," an all-new radio special from Max Lucado, is all about God interacting with us in tremendous ways. God cares about your life and your story.

In this special, Max talks with two people whose stories will grip your heart!  Recording artist, author and speaker, Sheila Walsh whose journey back from a complete breakdown emotionally and spiritually is not only an encouragement but a reminder that God is at work in all of our stories.  J.J. Jasper, on-air host for American Family Radio tells the story of the death of his young son, Cooper, of he and his wife Melanie's days just trying to breathe, their temptation to be angry but leaning on God's Word and discovering God was there with them in ways they'd never experienced before.

Max says that "We need to know where we came from. Knowing connects us, links us, bonds us to something greater than we are. Knowing reminds us that we aren't floating on isolated ponds but on a grand river. That's why God wants you to know his story. . . And we are a part of it."

Help your listeners discover their story . . .and of course, God's story!
