It's said, everyone lives in one of two tents: either content . . . or discontent!
When I was a young believer, I was told by a friend that I complained too much. Some friend, huh? Actually, she was right. I was focusing too much on "me" and "my" problems and not enough on Christ. Looking back on that time, it was clear I was living in discontent!
Given the circumstances the Apostle Paul endured during his missionary journeys (jailed for preaching Christ, shipwrecked and starving, beaten and left for dead), he had every reason to be discontent. Yet he chose not to. What was his secret?
On "Grace to You®" this month, John MacArthur looks to Paul's example and shows us how contentment is possible in any circumstance. Maybe you know someone that complains too much ... about rush-hour traffic, long lines, not enough money, their job, a bad call by a referee ... encourage them to hear John's study on The Secret to Contentment (airs 11/11-11/23). It's an especially timely message in preparation for the Thanksgiving celebration.
There's more to know about the broadcasts airing in November so be sure to download the promo packet now. For resources to deepen your walk with Christ, visit Grace to You®'s newly updated website. It's now easier than ever to find favorite devotionals, featured products, conference audio, recent blog posts, and of course, John's latest sermons.
Blessings to you this Thanksgiving!
