Look Back: Make Your "Beyond the Call" List for 2011

Recently I accidentally wrote "2012" instead of "2011".  Oops!  I may have gotten ahead of myself, but I suppose it's not too early to start thinking about the coming year.  HCJB Global is clearly thinking ahead, for they've already posted their "2011 highlights."  Take a look at how they've gone "Beyond the Call" this year!

HCJB Global's Year in ReviewIn 2011, HCJB Global . . .

  • Made it possible for millions to hear the gospel via broadcasts from nearly 400 partner stations in about 100 countries.

  • Accelerated the use of new media with a focus on millennials but attracting users of all ages; averaged 6,000 cell phone text messages monthly in Latin America; attracted 25,000 online listeners monthly to FM in Quito; reached 10,000 friends on the local radio Facebook page, 80 percent of whom are actively commenting and posting.

  • Planted the first four of 100 community radio stations across Thailand and provided equipment for five others.

  • Assisted 108 ministries in 62 countries with the help of staff members from the HCJB Global Technology Center in Elkhart, IN.

  • Sent 10,920 solar-powered, fixed-tuned radios to nine countries so that more people and villages could listen to partners’ radio stations and learn about Jesus.

Perhaps this highlight reel has inspired you to create your own.  Please consider sharing your "Beyond the Call in 2011" list with us.  We may use one of your stories in an upcoming "Beyond the Call" radio feature!
