For this month--here's what we posted to our News & Insights section!

Joni and Friends®— Transparency

JoniMany years ago, I was performing with my dance troupe when to my horror my prosthesis broke. Actually, it broke in half. Right in front of hundreds of socially awkward middle schoolers. After standing there for a split second I ran backstage, fully aware that everyone saw - me. I felt vulnerable, different, transparent.

Being transparent is nothing new for Joni. She does it every day. Throughout her battle with breast cancer, Joni has included us every step of the way. That's because she has included Christ - with every breath, every challenge and every victory.

Victory is something Joni is ...

Meeting John Stonestreet

John StonestreetI had the incredible joy of meeting John Stonestreet--new speaker for The Point®--last week at Biola University for the Doing The Right Thing tour. All of us at Ambassador are so excited for the days ahead and the opportunity to serve with John. By the way...I hope you're planning on meeting him at NRB. He'll be in our suite (Presidential Boardroom A) Monday morning at 7:45 AM! Just let me know if you can come!

This year marks the 100th anniversary for the Boy Scouts of America.  The organization's founder, Robert Baden-Powell, said: "We must change boys from a 'what can I get' to a 'what can I give' attitude."  Well, we know a lot former Scouts who definitely exhibit that "can do" attitude while serving in ministry.  Here are just a few:

It isn't everyday you get to sit down with a former Hezbollah terrorist.

terroristOver the years at Ambassador I've had the privilege to record with some very interesting people....musicians like Michael Card and Andrew Peterson, theologians such as N.T. Wright, authors, pastors, evangelists and even some movie stars!

I'm getting ready to record with a former terrorist.  His name is Afshin Javid - He is now pastor in North Vancouver, but he once was a member of Hezbollah. I don't know what he'll be sharing with Charles Morris but I know it will be interesting ... especially in light of all that is taking place in Northern Africa and ...

Be Well Rested

Anne Graham LotzIt's only the second month of the New Year and already I'm thinking:

A) Where has the time gone?

B) My days pass by too quickly-life is too fast and . . . I'm tired!

As Anne Graham Lotz reflects in a recent ministry newsletter though, even more important than the need to discipline ourselves to take a break from time to time, our real concern needs to be avoiding becoming weary in our spirits.

Anne shares that in 2011, she is committed to making spiritual rest a priority - "the rest that's found in setting aside consistent time with ...
