Moms are busy -- we're always on the go.
If you're trying to reach us, you need to know what's different in our lives today . . . and you need to know that we're continually looking for technology that can keep up with us.
I recently sat in on the Moms in Media 2012 Webinar which pulled data from the 20th Edison Research/Arbitron Internet and Multimedia Research series. The objective of the webinar was to showcase how moms are using technology and consuming various forms of media.
So, if you're looking for me, a Mom, read on . . . you'll learn just about everything you need to know on how to reach me in 2012!
Internet is Most Essential for Moms
I'm connected to the Internet 93% of the time.
Internet has become "most essential" for me: A 58% increase (previous growth was 17% and that was ten years ago).
I spend 2:43 now on the internet vs. the :53 I use to spend in 2002.
Facebook is the Jelly to Mom's Peanut Butter
94% of us have heard of Facebook.
72% of us moms are on Facebook!
77% of us are Facebook friends with our children (whether they like it or not!).
25% of us moms would rather have Facebook than TV.
Side note: Who do you think has more Facebook friends, Dad or Mom? Believe it or not, dads have more! Dads have an average of 263 Facebook friends while moms have a average of 255. The reason? Us moms are more conservative with friend selecting because we're so active and engaged on Facebook.
Best Way to Reach Mom?
Call me on my cell phone -- 92% of moms own a cell phone.
And, believe it or not, my cell phone* is within arm's length reach 93% of the time (*Smartphone).
Budget. Smudget. 61% of us own Smartphones (despite the struggling economy, we're willing to pay for data plan costs!).
Moms Likes Apples
While an apple a day may keep the doctor away, an apple (or two) keeps mom's attention . . . . 51% of us own an iPod, iPhone or iPad (or yes, guilty as charged - all three!).
And, What About Moms and Radio Listening?
In the last week, 86% of us listened to AM or FM radio-here's a breakdown of how us working moms tune into radio:

66% on radio
