A Different Kind of Baby Shower

I've attended a good number of baby showers through the years -- all in typical traditional fashion: invitations, light lunch, baby games and a glowing mother-to-be.

On an upcoming "Life Issues®" radio program, Brad Mattes shares about a not-so-typical baby shower as September 28th will mark the first-ever National Community Baby Shower!

Last April, the Pro-Life Aggies in Bryan, Texas, hosted a "Community Baby Shower," outside their local Walmart, asking shoppers to purchase diapers, wipes, formula, and baby items to give to the group so they could donate them to a local resource center for young parents. Over $700 in cash was obtained, and truckloads of baby items were donated.

Now, partnering with Stand True, Priests for Life, Students for Life of America, the Pro-Life Aggies look forward to at least 100 pro life campus groups to participate in order to help women across our country!

National Community Baby Shower Day . . . a great way to show support for unborn babies and their mothers!
