We were pleased to discover October is National Pizza Month. So what better time to ask our friends in ministry and media their favorite toppings and where they make it best!
"The Everything" @ "That Pizza Place" in Mossy Head, FL
Jesse Knapp, General Manager
WAKJ (Defuniak Springs, FL)
My favorite pizza is the "white pizza" from Mellow Mushroom. I love that it tastes so great, but I also love that it is great bonding time for my family!
Taylor Austin, AM Producer
Salem Radio Atlanta
The tried and true Pepperoni Pizza. Up until just a few months ago we'd plan our eating plans on trips to New York City around a few good pizza joints. But now...Five Boroughs in Cincinnati is as good, if not better, than some of the pizza joints in NYC.
Art Garza, General Manager
WAKW (Cincinnati, OH)
Aurelio's Pizza. Best topping? Super Six (a handful of everything). They are my favorite for over a quarter century!
Mark Allard, Media Network Engineer
Northwestern Radio (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN)
Gabriel's Pizza in Cleveland TN makes a California pizza.
Clark Thompson, Ministry Relations Director
WBDX (Chattanooga, TN)
By the way . . .
Did you know Americans eat approximately 100 acres of pizza a day or about 350 slices per second? We should ask the Moose's Tooth Pub and Pizzeria in Anchorage, Alaska if they think that's true. Moose's is the highest-grossing single-unit independent pizzeria in the nation with annual sales of approximately $6 million.
So . . . what's your favorite kind of pizza and where, in your opinion, is it the best? Inquiring minds want to know!

Lou Malnati’s. Double pepperoni, mushrooms with a sausage patty so large it covers every inch. Chicago deep dish, pizza perfected and God’s gift to Chicagoans. Just saying.
MICHAEL: In SoCal, we agree with you! My sister (lives in Naperville) regularly sends off a LM package of delight to the family on special occasions. MMMM ... we're hungry!
This is like asking about favorite children! Lou's is pretty great but I still like Gioradano's better. John's in Times Square is very fine. As for the chains, we go for Papa Murpheys and Marcos.
