I can't stop thinking about what I saw as I looked around in church on Sunday morning.
I saw several new faces -- visitors who had brought their families to the church the night before for our annual Trunk or Treat community outreach. But it was the contrast with what else I saw that I can't forget. Also sitting in the congregation were three of our missionary families from Vietnam, Ecuador and Tanzania.
What a vivid reminder of the privilege we have as believers to share His Word not only with neighbors in our community but with "neighbors" in foreign countries as well.
And that's exactly what Anne Graham Lotz and the AnGeL Ministry team is doing.
This past week, Anne and the ministry team (including her daughter, Rachel Ruth!), led the Rooted More in Jesus event in Uganda. As shared in the ministry's Uganda praise report, Uganda is a "land where immorality and spousal abuse is common...within Christian homes." The day concluded with Anne giving a "strong message calling for repentance from the leaders of the churches in northern Uganda."
Anne closed the gathering by saying that in all the 36 years she has taught that workshop, those gathered at the Watoto Church had grasped the message with the most clarity and excellence. To applause, she then stated it was very obvious to her, that in a nation that was materially impoverished, God had made them spiritually rich.
And on the home front, through "Daily Light for Daily Living®," Anne shares biblical expositions which are key to reviving the hearts of God's people here in the United States. The daily messages from God's Word are for those who seek to take seriously God's principles for life.
Anne and the AnGeL Ministry Team . . . changing the lives of "neighbors" with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ -- from Uganda to the U.S.!
