Saving Files for SEOIf you're like most of us, we upload files without really considering the name of the file. For example, our pictures are PIC 0231953.jpg or an audio file might be AAA108429.wav. It's an easy method for us to use and it is simple to make sense of on the user side.  We add text in for the file links that provide the actual title of what we mean instead of the obscure file name.

This method doesn't appear to cause any confusion. But what you might not realize is that by not naming the file ...

Military GravesWhen I was a kid, Memorial Day was all about our city's parade.  And if you were a Girl Scout like I was, it meant marching in the parade.  And if you ever got to carry the flag--it was the best ever Memorial Day!

This year I'll be singing the National Anthem to open the festivities honoring veterans of foreign wars at Eisenhower Park in Seal Beach, California.  And I'll be wearing my POW bracelet.  Remember those?  We wore them in the 70s with the name of a captured or lost soldier in Vietnam.

On Thursday we will gather as a staff here at Ambassador to pray for our leaders, local, national and global on the National Day of Prayer.

Psalm 32:6 says, "therefore let everyone who is godly pray ...

Man with Name BadgeYou've probably been to parties, conventions or conferences where you meet tons of new people. If you're like me, you might end up forgetting most of their names. But there are those who stand out--the ones who told a funny joke, had a connection with something you also are vested in, etc. In the world of SEO, you want your website to be one of those who "stand out" after the introduction.

Last week we talked about making that strong first impression with your title tag. But after the first impression...you've got to give users and ...

First Impression Hand ShakeYou have less than 30 seconds to make a strong first impression. It's in your hand shake, your eye contact, your body posture...and, of course, those first few words out of your mouth. For Search Engine Optimization (SEO), your title tag is your "first impression."

The goal for SEO is to help search engines understand the essence of who you are via your website. That's where your title tag comes in. You can find your title tag within your HTML code in the meta tags and you can also see what your title is by looking at ...
