Most of us don't know what happens beyond the first anniversary but do know that the traditional gift for that milestone is paper. That always seemed to me a "less than fair" representation of the effort that goes into the "first year" for most couples--and organizations!
In just a couple weeks, believe it or not, we will mark the one-year anniversary of "Family Talk" on-air. Thank you to the incredible circle of station friends who have made it possible for Dr. James Dobson's voice to continue to be heard across the country every day.
We may be sending ...

One of the hardest parts of being a working parent is staying organized. It can be such a challenge just to keep up with the everyday basics of life.
When my children were at home, that struggle also extended to them. Keeping three kids organized and on track was difficult for them, and we often all felt very overwhelmed!
Emilie Barnes was in the same situation when raising her children. To get her family organized, she put together some very simple, and easy ideas to help them (the early beginnings of KEEP IT SIMPLE!).

Do you wear glasses? I do. Without them, my world is fuzzy, undefined and incoherent. Glasses help bring everything into focus, bringing order to my life.
This is exactly what Brad Mattes does so skillfully with his daily commentary. Standing firm on a biblical worldview, Brad provides a Christian perspective to the Life Issues® swirling around us. His insightful observations challenge me to think critically, and of course, biblically on decisions we make every day.
In this day and age when truth is subjective and based on personal values, Brad's profound Christ-centered angle on the current events is certainly ...

"This is an opportunity for us as Christians to go beyond the church walls and demonstrate the love of Christ," Franklin Graham shares, "God can use something like this to further His Kingdom in ways we don't see or understand now."
In an effort to aid a helpless and hopeless situation near the coast of Japan, the ministry presented an elementary ...

I have been enjoying the current series on "Revive Our Hearts™" as Nancy Leigh DeMoss has been teaching on the themes in the book, The Incomparable Christ by J. Oswald Sanders.
While Nancy has been preparing our hearts in anticipation of Easter later this month, these Gospel messages have also brought many to Christ. The response to this series has been overwhelming as listeners have come to know the Lord for the first time or are experiencing His presence in a new way.
Listeners like Kim who shared with Nancy, I heard your program today about having an intimate relationship ...

My parents grew up in the aftermath of the Korean War. Food, clothing and shelter were hard to come by, making life very challenging. It was because of the generous donations from the United States and U.N. that my parents were able to survive. I know this is true because I have heard their stories many times! I also know that if it wasn't for the complimentary handouts that helped keep my parents alive, my very existence would be doubtful!
Perhaps this is why I have an innate desire to help the poor and hurting. When I think ...
