Ministry Updates

I'm in awe of God's design for the Church body. From the "weeping with those who weep and rejoicing with those who rejoice," to "they will know you are my disciples, if you have love one for another,"...the infrastructure of the Christian community supports life's twists and turns. I count it a privilege to be part of the body with Jim and Carol Garlow--and they're certainly having many turns ahead of them. Here's a section of Jim's latest update:

I had the incredible joy of meeting John Stonestreet--new speaker for The Point^®--last week at Biola University for the Doing The Right Thing tour. All of us at Ambassador are so excited for the days ahead and the opportunity to serve with John. By the way...I hope you're planning on meeting him at NRB. He'll be in our suite (Presidential Boardroom A) Monday morning at 7:45 AM! Just let me know if you can come!

Ever eat at The Cheesecake Factory??  I'll confess I'm a regular ... in part because every time I'm handed a menu, I delight in turning page after page of choices for ordering!

Over the years at Ambassador I've had the privilege to record with some very interesting people....musicians like Michael Card and Andrew Peterson, theologians such as N.T. Wright, authors, pastors, evangelists and even some movie stars!

I'm getting ready to record with a former terrorist.  His name is Afshin Javid - He is now pastor in North Vancouver, but he once was a member of Hezbollah. I don't know what he'll be sharing with Charles Morris but I know it will be interesting ... especially in light of all that is taking place in Northern Africa and ...

Doing the right thing and the Colson Center tour of the same name, is exactly what Chuck Colson and a panel of leading ethicists, theologians and other scholars did on Saturday on the Campus of Biola University.

I listened with rapt attention to speaker after speaker over a three-hour time period as they spoke to the ethical and moral breakdown bombarding our culture from every side.  It was stunning in its scope and its challenge!

Chuck Colson, through his Colson Center legacy, wants to provide people like me--that same challenge to raise ethical questions and issues in what he calls ...

It's only the second month of the New Year and already I'm thinking:

A) Where has the time gone?

B) My days pass by too quickly-life is too fast and . . . I'm tired!

As Anne Graham Lotz reflects in a recent ministry newsletter though, even more important than the need to discipline ourselves to take a break from time to time, our real concern needs to be avoiding becoming weary in our spirits.
