Music – we all love it, I just don’t know any one who loves it all.  Let me say it this way instead, I’ve never met someone who has said “I hate music”…but I have encountered many who have said “I hate ____ music.”  You fill in the blank – Rap, Country, Rock, Blues, Classical, Pop.  I myself have eclectic taste…my ipod has a bit of everything on it. We can't all be a Billy Graham . . . standing at a podium, in front of an overflow stadium crowd, passionately sharing that ... God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son so that we may not perish but have everlasting life. 

And yet . . . we are each called to share the message of hope with others.

But sometimes, it's not so easy.  We feel inadequate.  Not prepared.

While watching "I am number four" recently, I was struck by how much I wanted to possess super powers. I want to be the superhero and 'save the day.' Cliché, I know . . . but true! That got me thinking about the real life heroes that I've had (and continue to have) in my life: My father, my grandfather, and of course, my wife.  These are all people who have impacted me in truly special ways.

I can still remember where I was on the morning of 9/11 . . . I'd just arrived at the office after hearing news on the car radio about a plane which had crashed into the one of the twin towers.  

Slowly, the full tragic story began to unfold . . .  in shock and horror, we all soon realized that this was a day we would never forget.

I'm a competitive person. Naturally, therefore, I like to win! That's why I chose the winning team in life. Yes. Life!  I don't need to worry about the future - no matter what happens I will be OK because I have victory in Christ.

Sometimes, however, I don't live as if I am a winner. I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders and I forget that the most important thing in life has already been taken care of.
