Ministry Updates

My deepest desire is to be a Woman after God's Own Heart . . .  a godly woman.  One molded by and used of God.  And, without God's leading and intervention it won't happen.  That is my daily prayer.

Elizabeth George (A Woman after God's Own Heart) says that praying to become a godly woman is a worthy prayer, but she also asks, "What does a godly woman do?  How does she act?  What is it about her that marks her out as a godly woman?"

Those are the answers I need.   Elizabeth points to Titus 2:3-5 where you will find the character qualities of a godly woman.  She says the 10 most important priorities for women are:

Wisdom

Godly Speech

Love of Husband

Love of Family

Love of Home

Purity

Personal Discipline

Goodness

Ministry to Others

Christ-like Behavior

If you share Elizabeth's and my prayer to become a godly woman, read Titus 2:3-5 and ask God to show you how to develop these qualities in your life.  It won't be an overnight change, but it will be well worth the end results!

Blessings,

Sheri Cooper

Christian Radio Sharing About the Importance of Life

I was among the many who went to the movie theaters over the holidays. I saw two movies which told about the true life stories of two men who changed lives and, even saved lives.

As I watched the stories of Louis Zamperini and Chris Kyle unfold on the big screen, each life depicting a unique journey which impacted so many, I couldn't help but marvel at the significance of every person's life.

In both "Unbroken" and "The American Sniper," we learn about the humble beginnings of both men and we're taken on the adventure which was ...

Why We Need a Savior

Christmas is just two days away and I wanted to share with you a special message from Nancy Leigh DeMoss as shared in her one-minute daily feature, "Seeking Him."  Nancy said . . .

"Unto you is born this day a Savior." Words like that can slip off our lips so easily around this time of year. Those who have been around the things of God for a long time can take it for granted.

But it's helpful during a time of decorations and celebration to remember how desperately we need a Savior. In a season of tinsel and lights, we need ...

What You Need to Know!

Young man reading BibleWith just days away from the start of a new year and listeners already making plans for 2015, we thought it'd be wise to highlight some things Grace to You® wants your listeners to know.

Starting in January, John MacArthur begins two new series.  First, he takes a look at what Jesus said about eternal life in The Second Birth (airing 1/12-23). Then immediately following is The Love God Hates (airing 1/26-2/2).  In this study, listeners are going to hear about an aspect of God's character that's often overlooked--His hatred.

Encourage your audience ...

What Radio Listeners Said in 2014

Family in the SnowMake a joyful shout to God,
all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
Say to God,
"How awesome are Your works!"

(Psalm 66:1-3)

Lives have been dramatically transformed.  Families have been restored.  People have been spiritually encouraged.  Where?  Through the ministry of Christian radio!  How do we know?  Focus on the Family regularly receives incredible stories from listeners -- listeners who receive new insight, timely encouragement, and God's truth that hits them right where they're at.

You see, when people have seen God show up -- they talk about it.  They "make ...

Merry Christmas from Madagascar!

Mercy Ships® Christmas-2In 3rd grade Sunday school last weekend, I asked the kids what the best Christmas present they EVER received was.  One boy said it was a skateboard, another child talked about a new puppy, and a sweet girl replied, "My family."

What makes the gift so perfect to each child
, I wondered?  Maybe it's how badly they've been needing or wanting a particular item.  Maybe it's that they thought they'd never get it—but it came, after all!  I'm not sure.  But I think for Mercy Ships® patients, it's a mixture of both ...

God's Purpose for Marriage

Several months ago while listening to "FamilyLife Today," it occurred to me how blessed I am to be serving a ministry where I'm regularly exposed to the best marriage and family advice there is.  And not only have I benefitted from the wisdom shared but I've been able to pass it along to my family.  In fact, now that my son and his girlfriend are seriously talking marriage, I've started a list of FamilyLife audio and materials for them to consider before they say "I Do."

Included at the top of this list will be Dennis Rainey ...
