I know the holidays have really begun when Christmas Carols become a regular part of my life (I don't count any that I hear before Thanksgiving though). Not a year goes by that I don't end up singing "Peace on Earth and Mercy Mild...God and sinners reconciled." While culture usually drops the latter part of that phrase, Peace on Earth seems to have become a mantra during the holidays. Believers and unbelievers alike regale the season with this slogan, but what is peace? Is it no violence...or total agreement? What about just letting everyone do their ...

I'm a big fan of lists! They help keep my increasingly scattered brain organized. Santa has one, I have one, and I'm sure you do as well.
I'll keep this short because I know your list is long, but I'm hoping that close to the top of your list is getting and airing "Telling the Great Story of Christmas" presented by HAVEN Today.
- Your listeners will hear a woven tapestry of Scripture reading, reflection, and 13 of their favorite Christmas songs... pointing us to God's great love for us in sending His Son Jesus.

How can Christian students live in this broken-down world, filled with sin and distractions at every turn, and not compromise? Is it even possible?
This is the question posed to students aged 12-18 during a weekend conference presented by Transform Student Ministries, the generational equipping of Precept Ministries International®.
This conference will be held December 4-6 at the ministry's headquarters in Chattanooga. It's an opportunity for students to learn Precept's Inductive Bible Study Method, bringing them into a direct engagement with Scripture.
Transform Student Ministries' conference is the only one that puts middle and high school students ...

Foot massager? Knife sharpener? iTunes gift card?
It's challenging when you're wondering what to give the person who has everything - but, what do you give when you have nothing?" That's the question Pete Briscoe will tackle in a special message coming up on "Telling the Truth" - What Do You Give When You Have Nothing to Give. I can't help but wonder that many listeners will relate to having "nothing" in this trying economic time.
Speaking of listeners, here are just a few of the responses that have been coming in through Telling the Truth's Facebook ...

I have many, but I'll always remember Christmas morning when, after sharing gifts, my Dad would read aloud the Christmas story from Luke. It's a tradition that we now practice in my own family.
As a child, I didn't realize the impact of that special time together as much as I do now, being a mom of two young children. Recognizing how important it is to reflect on God's gift to us and that Christmas means so much more than if we got exactly what we'd wished for that year.
Well, Elizabeth George beat my ...

This weekend I started to think about some of the Christmas traditions my family shares:
- Christmas Cards
- Nativity Display
- Caroling
- Reading Luke 2
- Decorating the Christmas tree
- Shopping
- Christmas movies
- Cookies and hot chocolate
Speaking of traditions, the "Hour of Decision®" programming for December includes wonderful Christmas messages from Billy and Franklin Graham along with traditional Christmas songs-all focusing on the true meaning of Christmas.
And, you'll also want to be sure you journey through "Christmas Past" with the Graham family in the classic television specials available on the ministry web site. Heartwarming stories, beloved guests and stirring seasonal ...
