Introducing the Next Generation to Chuck Colson

  • Thursday, July 30, 2015

I will be forever grateful to a youth leader of mine who introduced me to Dietrich Bonhoeffer by encouraging me to read The Cost of Discipleship while I was in high school.  Then, several years later, I heard the incredible redemption story of Chuck Colson, who was also personally impacted by Bonhoeffer along with Wilberforce, C.S. Lewis, and other men of faith.

I want my kids to know about these men and the courage they had to impact their culture because of their transformational experiences with Christ.

Since his death in 2012, there has been an effort by the ...

BreakPoint® Responds to Supremes' Ruling on Marriage

  • Monday, June 29, 2015

On Monday, June 29th, "BreakPoint®" airs a special broadcast with John Stonestreet who reacts to the Supreme Court's ruling on the definition of marriage.  He shares . . .

There is a lot of bad news and negative assumptions being made about the younger generation, and with less than half of 18 to 29-year-olds claiming to be religious, there is plenty of reason to be concerned.

The ministry hears from listeners regularly who share how they use the daily BreakPoint® commentaries, including a Bible study leader who uses them to lead worldview discussions with Junior High students, a homeschooling mom ...

Why Worldview Matters

  • Thursday, April 23, 2015

It's already been three years since Chuck Colson passed away and so much has happened in our world since then, yet his faith and vision to redeem the culture lives on.  Chuck taught us so much about the importance of having a Christian worldview, and living a life based on Christian principles.

Just recently, I came across this quote from Chuck, "We must be the same person in private and in public. Only the Christian worldview gives us the basis for this kind of integrity."  This struck me particularly since I'd just had a conversation with my teenage ...

Restoring All Things

  • Monday, March 23, 2015

There are so many evil things happening in our world today that cause many to ask, "Where is God?"  How easy it is to get discouraged by the news headlines and feel powerless.  Maybe you are feeling this same way--that all is lost when it comes to redeeming our culture for Christ.

In a recent radio interview with BreakPoint®'s John Stonestreet, he addressed this very issue and reminded listeners that "the thing that brings us hope is the fact that Jesus Christ has risen from the dead.  Jesus has conquered sin and death!"

John went on to say that ...
