I can think of many moms who would agree with that statement.  In fact, with school back in session it's likely that moms of school-aged kids are particularly attentive to thoughts of their child's future.

Recently, I got an email from Compassion about what's new, what's coming up and what's inspiring in the world of child advocacy.  It's an invitation to speak out against poverty by checking out these five items from a very active ministry!

There are words that every ministry dreads to hear from a potential donor:

"Never heard of you."

Your breath catches in your throat, your eyelids blink rapidly.  Confidence in a mission statement or clever tagline suddenly feels useless when meeting someone who has never...heard...of...you.

This happened to me as a volunteer with Compassion International recently at a Fishfest music festival for KFSH-Los Angeles.
