United Cry - DC16

  • Monday, March 28, 2016

In an upcoming edition of "The Garlow Perspective," Jim Garlow says, "When a nation is in crisis, the Bible is clear about the solution!"  He goes on to share from Joel 2 which states, "Call a sacred assembly, gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the leaders . . ."

Well, this is exactly what's about to take place!  On April 9th, United Cry DC16 is sponsoring a gathering of 30,000 plus pastors and Christian leaders, of which Jim will be a part.  These leaders will come together at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. to pray for America ...

Preaching with Courage and Boldness

  • Monday, February 29, 2016

Our team has just returned from #Proclaim16, the NRB's International Media Convention which took place in Nashville last week.  As expected, there was much discussion focused on what we're seeing in our culture and the concern that the Christian's and church's voice will be silenced.

Being at the conference provided a special opportunity for me to visit with Pastor Jim Garlow (Skyline Wesleyan Church, San Diego) and his wife, Rosemary.  Jim was able to greet many radio stations who air his daily one-minute feature, "The Garlow Perspective," in which Jim speaks out on religious liberty issues ...

Celebrating 50 Years of Preaching

  • Monday, January 25, 2016

garlowThis Sunday marks a very special milestone for Jim Garlow, Pastor of Skyline Church (San Diego CA) and speaker for "The Garlow Perspective."  Read on as Jim shares this personal update . . .

"50 years ago (January 30, 1966) I preached my 1st sermon - as a college freshman - in our little country church called Morgan Chapel (pictured) located out in the country on a dirt road (the building is gone now) 3 miles west of Ames, KS (pop. 50 or so?)

This weekend, I have invited several high school and college students who are called to preaching to co-preach with me at ...

  • Monday, December 21, 2015

Who do you say Jesus is?  It is the question, isn't it?

In his Christmas Day message for "The Garlow Perspective," Jim Garlow says,

Homelessness.  World hunger.  Terrorism.  The economy.  What's the biggest issue of our time?  Of this season of the year?

"Who do you say that I am?" Jesus asks.  Until you know the answer to that question, you're not equipped to focus on all the other questions of life.

Until you're ready to answer Jesus' question, how will you ever answer the life questions of who you are, why you're here, and ...

How to Engage

  • Tuesday, November 24, 2015

We are entering into a season which is probably the most social time of the year.  And, quite possibly, a time when we're given the best opportunity to share about Christ over a holiday meal or while visiting with a neighbor.  I've personally found that it's a time when people are more open to sharing and listening than usual.  But, what's the best way to engage a friend or a co-worker in a meaningful conversation about Christ?

Pastor Jim Garlow would say, you engage with others by listening.  As Jim shared recently on "The Garlow Perspective ...

Believing in Absolute Truth

  • Monday, October 26, 2015

Jim Garlow, speaker for "The Garlow Perspective," is a Pastor and strong advocate for religious liberty.  I thought that Jim's perspective was expressed well on this program that originally aired on October 16th--hear what he said:

The fact is . . . no nation can exist without a fundamental belief in absolute truth! It's absolutely imperative that we believe in absolute truth--biblical truth.

Judges 17:6 says: "Every man did that which was right in his own eyes." . . . referring to the behavioral and moral fiber of the people being addressed.

It's the same "non-belief" in absolute truth that ...
