Each day on "The Garlow Perspective," speaker Jim Garlow speaks out boldly, on what he describes as issues of righteousness: biblical values of religious freedom, pro-life, biblical marriage between a man and a woman, to name a few. The Garlow Perspective tackles the cultural issues of the day in order to underscore biblical truth in a time where too often truth is exchanged for tolerance and a lack of courage.
As a Pastor, Jim is also advocating for churches and wanting to be sure that their ministry is being protected from current threats. Many pastors fear the government will force ...Read Full Post »

"Roses are red, violets are blue" . . . no problem for a child's Valentine's Day card-just don't include a Bible verse!
That's exactly what a first grader did when he gave Valentine's Day cards to classmates with a note mentioning God and John 3:16 in a little story about the history of St. Valentine's Day. The principal ordered the cards removed. His explanation to the parents was that they could be "offensive" to others.
On this Friday's edition of "The Garlow Perspective," Jim Garlow shares this story and how the Nazareth School District revised ...Read Full Post »

Last Friday on The Garlow Perspective, Jim Garlow became the subject of his own feature as part of an Alliance Defending Freedom case in California. Seven California churches, of which Jim's is one, are being forced to pay for elective abortions in their employee health insurance plans.
The state's rule, Jim says, defies every fiber of his being: "I feel that not only [that] the killing of babies in the womb is wrong foundationally, but as a father who had the privilege of adopting four children . . . was repulsive beyond words."
The Heritage Foundation featured more of Jim's ...Read Full Post »

*December 25 is the birthday of Jesus?
Truth: December 25 was the birthday of the pagan God of light. In 325AD, Roman emperor Constantine re-assigned the meaning to the birthday of Jesus, the true God of Light.
*There were three wise men who arrived to see Jesus?
Truth: there were three gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. There may have been ten wise men—each of them bringing some gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Just as there are a lot of myths surrounding the celebration of Christmas, there are a lot of myths about what our children and grandchildren can do ...

Jim Garlow hasn't met a cultural issue he's reluctant to address—and when he does, it's with the aplomb of biblical authority.
Alliance Defending Freedom is the perfect partner in Jim's desire to transcend culture with biblical imperative. It's why he speaks so forcefully about religious freedom, freedom of speech and the political arena—as a pastor and a commentator.
In this month's "The Garlow Perspective," Jim joins with ADF in presenting listeners with a special week (November 10-14) addressing the question of Student Rights in the public school system, grades K-12.

I'm reading and enjoying immensely Doris Kearns Goodwin's book, "The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism." "Bully Pulpit" is a term coined by Theodore Roosevelt referring to the White House as a powerful platform to advocate an agenda.
And in this month of "Clergy Appreciation", I can't think of any pastor for whom the term "A Bully Pulpit pastor" fits better, and for whom we have any greater appreciation for, than Pastor Jim Garlow. He's also heard daily on "The Garlow Perspective."
Jim's agenda is most assuredly biblio-centric ...
