Starting this week and through mid-October, there will be three U.S. presidential debates-the purpose of which to help voters understand where each candidate stands on the important issues. (By the way, according to a recent Pew Research survey it seems voters still feel the most significant topics they want discussed are terrorism and the economy.) Ideally, by the end of these debates the American people should have a clearer understanding of who will make the best president.
That said, these debates may not answer all our concerns before we cast that vote on November 8, so the greater question ...Read Full Post »

Do you remember where you were on September 11, 2001?
I was in Grand Rapids attending the Midwest Regional NRB conference at the Maranatha Center. We'd just finished breakfast and most of us were gathered in the lobby of the lodge when on the TV Good Morning America was reporting a plane had crashed into one of the towers at the World Trade Center. Before we could wrap our heads around what was happening, we witnessed another plane deliberately crash into the second tower. Two more coordinated terrorist attacks occurred that horrific day and thousands of lives were lost ...Read Full Post »

There's no doubt about it. We're living in an increasingly hostile culture these days. It's now more important than ever to equip ourselves (and your listeners) with God's truth. With that in mind, and so your listeners can make plans to tune in, here's what your listeners need to know about "Grace to You®" programming and resources offered this month that'll prepare them for the days ahead.
First, John MacArthur continues his brand-new study on What Jesus Wants the Church to Know. He takes listeners through the first two chapters of Revelation and ...Read Full Post »

If you watch the news or pay attention to the media, it's easy to feel like today is just like any other day ... that history is a never-ending cycle; for that matter, a never-ending cycle of evil and unrighteous living. It's possible, like me, your listeners are asking the question, "is this world all there is?" And "will it ever end?"
Coming up on "Grace to You®" in July, John MacArthur answers that question and more as he begins his series on biblical prophecy titled, Where in the World Is History Headed? This study-focusing on the return of ...Read Full Post »

"A dozen men under the power of the Holy Spirit are a more potent force than the teeming masses whose initial enthusiasm for Jesus was apparently provoked by little more than sheer curiosity." -John MacArthur, Twelve Ordinary Men
It's easy to think of Jesus' twelve disciples as titans of virtue, faith, and courage-men the average Christian can admire, but not emulate. Fortunately, that's not the case. In fact, Peter, James, John, and the rest of the apostles were profoundly ordinary, yet God used them in extraordinary ways. This month John MacArthur's going to show your listeners how ...Read Full Post »

At my father's memorial service in February, my youngest brother told of how our father came to know and accept the Lord at age 72, following heart surgery in 2003. A pastor friend later came up and shared the gospel as well as give an invitation.
Overall, the memorial service and fellowship luncheon was wonderful. It was a beautiful day with family and friends paying their respects (my dad would've loved it). But I'll admit, I had some concerns with how the service ended-mostly worried about how some of our guests would receive the pastor's message ...Read Full Post »
