Single or Married?

  • Tuesday, January 31, 2012

Whatever your marital status ... God does have a plan for your life.

But there's no denying that with all the opinions out there on marriage, divorce, and singleness ... knowing what's right, what's wrong, and what's best for Christians can be very confusing.

That's why this month, John MacArthur examines Scripture to provide us with important Guidelines for Singleness and Marriage.  We'll learn what God's Word says about the path to marriage, divorce and remarriage, the blessings of being single, and yes, dealing with sexual temptation. Encourage your listeners to tune in to "Grace ...

The Gospel According to ... Paul?

  • Tuesday, December 20, 2011

That was the subject of John MacArthur's messages during the Truth Matters conference this past September.  During those four days, attendees heard that the gospel is ...

John MacArthur Speaking

  • glorious
  • satisfying
  • reconciling
  • sovereign
  • humbling

It is an important and timely message to share because as John said then, "it's under assault today ... and we need to be clear about what the New Testament says and what the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write with regard to the gospel."

Who is the "Best" of Christmas?

  • Tuesday, November 22, 2011

Depending on who you ask ... the best of Christmas could be anything from gifts under the tree to spending time with family to taking a vacation.  All good, but are those the best?!

This December, Grace to You® launches a broadcast series that pulls together some of John MacArthur's most loved Christmas messages from the past 40-plus years.  Throughout the series, John turns our attention on what truly is The Best of Christmas ... Yet, before we can focus on the ...

When I was a young believer, I was told by a friend that I complained too much.  Some friend, huh?  Actually, she was right.  I was focusing too much on "me" and "my" problems and not enough on Christ.  Looking back on that time, it was clear I was living in discontent!

Given the circumstances the Apostle Paul endured during his missionary journeys (jailed for preaching Christ, shipwrecked and starving, beaten and left for dead), he had every reason to be discontent.  Yet ...

Is Prayer a Waste of Time?

  • Tuesday, September 27, 2011

According to John MacArthur, it can be if you don't understand its purpose.

So how then are we supposed to pray?  On "Grace to You®" this month, John takes us verse-by-verse through the Lord's Prayer (Matt. 6:5-14) and provides us with specific instruction on the purpose, priority, plan, provision, and pardon of prayer.  This classic 4-week study of The Disciples' Prayer (airs 10/10 - 11/4) will reveal that the example Christ gave his disciples then ... is also for us today.  To find out more about the messages and materials available in October, download the promo pack ...

Living in a Strange Land

  • Tuesday, August 30, 2011

Over the years I've come to realize that most of the world is cynical about Christianity. In fact, I experience some of that cynicism even in my own small circle of friends and family. In truth, sometimes I feel like an outsider.

But as a follower of Jesus Christ, during those moments when I feel like a foreigner in a strange land, I know it's then that God can use me to share the gospel.  But He can't do that if my actions or words are unbecoming or lacking respect for relationships and authority.

This month on ...
