Last year I took to memorizing several key passages outlined in the MacArthur Daily Bible.  Isaiah 53:4-6 (below) became a most favorite because of the power and significance of each word. It also was the perfect passage to meditate on during the weeks leading up to Resurrection Sunday.  Now a year later, those verses remain etched in my heart as a reminder of the One who suffered and died for my sins so that I could have eternal life: 

"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted ...

They make the difference between simply reading about the crucifixion and having a sense of being an eyewitness.  Those precise observations come from the gospel writers and provide pertinent details that will add dramatically to your listeners worship this Easter.  And that's why Grace to You^® believes it's important for listeners to tune in when John MacArthur explains the critical yet often overlooked details from Calvary in his study The Crucifixion Chronicle (airs March 11-21).

Generally the weekend after Thanksgiving is when the Christmas decorations go up.  That certainly was the case in my brother's home (where we're living temporarily).   From snowmans (including one that sings!) to various Santa Claus decorations to stockings, lights, a wreath and a tree ... there's no denying, it's very festive here!
