This past week I stopped by a local radio station for their 3-day sharathon. During my visit, I met a very special woman of God. In the course of my short conversation with her, I learned that earlier this year her 23-year old son died in a motorcycle accident. But if that wasn’t enough grief to endure, a month later her husband left her for a younger woman. My heart sank.

The night before my dad was wheeled into surgery for a triple by-pass and valve replacement, my brother led him in the salvation prayer. Since that night five years ago, dad has attended church and read his Bible daily. And this past August, at the age of 79, my dad made a public decision for Christ by being baptized. It was another answer to prayer.

Having made a trip to So Cal last week to see my family, I was able to spend time at the Ambassador office, too. For a few days, I had my old life back--commuting to and from Irvine, talking with Peg and the team in person, eating fresh donuts brought in by Jim :-), and enjoying all the other benefits of working in an office with my co-workers (and friends).

For the past 30 years, no virture has been more praised in these columns than "tolerance." In the same time period, no attictude has been more condemned than "intolerance." It is time to take a look at what "tolerance" has done to America.
