What music draws you close to God?
- Wednesday, July 27, 2011
Music – we all love it, I just don’t know any one who loves it all. Let me say it this way instead, I’ve never met someone who has said “I hate music”…but I have encountered many who have said “I hate ____ music.” You fill in the blank – Rap, Country, Rock, Blues, Classical, Pop. I myself have eclectic taste…my ipod has a bit of everything on it. However, there are certain artists who when I listen to them, I feel a bit closer to God.
One of those artists is Fernando Ortega…and I’m really ...

As a pastor I don’t think I see anything that causes more havoc in people’s lives than broken relationships.
Children who can’t forgive their parents
Spouses who have “irreconcilable differences”
Neighbors who have not paid their “pound of flesh”
The tendency is so often to just walk away (From a family or a neighborhood, or a church). We, as children of God are called to something different.
Forgiveness
Grace
Reconciliation
Peace Making
This week, as I was listening to Charles Morris on HAVEN Today (7/22-24) I was convicted - because yes I too can fall prey to ...

The END is NEAR!
While it’s true that we are closer to the return of Christ than ever before (just think about it for a second….it’s still true now J), somehow I don’t think that the return of Jesus is going to take place this Saturday. When Jesus said “No man knows the day or the hour,” I (Robert Jacobsen – speaking here only for myself) don’t think God likes it when people guess “days”. The King James Version of the Bible was written 400 years ago, and the world has never been the same. We know King James Authorized it, but could Shakespeare have influenced the translation? For those of you who don't like conspiracy theories you need read no further.
When I was listening to the HAVEN Today broadcast with Charles Morris that aired on April 25th I heard something new. There are some people that think Shakespeare may have influenced the King James translation. Here is why. Open your KJV to Psalm 46. Shakespeare was 46 years old when the ...

Tragedy has struck Japan. It's all over the media and will continue to be as the death toll rises. The Prime Minister of Japan has declared it the greatest tragedy since Word War 2.
The Tsunami is on everyone's mind and in order to address this tragedy in a timely manner, Charles Morris has put together a 3 minute commentary that I know will speak to your listeners on the deepest level. Listen to it here

It isn't everyday you get to sit down with a former Hezbollah terrorist.
- Monday, February 7, 2011
Over the years at Ambassador I've had the privilege to record with some very interesting people....musicians like Michael Card and Andrew Peterson, theologians such as N.T. Wright, authors, pastors, evangelists and even some movie stars!
I'm getting ready to record with a former terrorist. His name is Afshin Javid - He is now pastor in North Vancouver, but he once was a member of Hezbollah. I don't know what he'll be sharing with Charles Morris but I know it will be interesting ... especially in light of all that is taking place in Northern Africa and ...
